Most people recognize youthful skin as having elasticity, flexible, firm and tight. The French use rosewood for natural skin regenerating, skin elasticity and cell stimulation in treating wrinkled, mature and aging skin. Anti aging skin tips using rosewood oil helps mature skin to look the best.

One health benefit this oil has is the tranqillity that is felt while using it. Feeling good helps the facial expressions be more relaxed aiding in the desired anti aging process. Aging is more gradual when the mind is calm and at peace. Tranqillity shows through the countenance thus relaxing the tension that may create fine lines and wrinkles.

Rosewood essential oil has balancing qualities beneficial to use on dry, oily or combination skin because it helps tone and slows the aging process by increasing the regeneration of skin tissues. By this process, the oil lessons the appearance of scars and fine lines, mollifying scar tissue to be more soft and flexible.

The properties in Rosewood essential oil consist of anti-viral, anti-bacterial along with anti-fungal and anti-infectious making it nice for wound healing. But more than that, it benefits wounded skin by increasing the scar tissue elasticity and cell regeneration. By softening the scar, it helps reduce the appearance even of scar tissue after surgery and thus relieving scar tissue pain. There are massage tips that help the reduction of the scars appearance.

Because it has the ability to diminish scarring, even stretch marks on breasts may be reduced and it also aids in the prevention of new ones. But, in order to not aggravate the stretch marks and make them larger, there is a process of application of this oil. Massage techniques along with the quality of this oil helps to fade stretch marks and heal them. Stretch marks on thighs can fade and smooth out using the same massage techniques.

There are other conditions that are prevented or improved while using rosewood oil and anti aging skin tips. As with all essential oils, it helps more body systems than just the skin, giving added health benefits to the recipient.

Anti-fungal properties in rosewood oil aid in treating Candida and other fungal conditions. Skin ulcers caused by Candida are soothed when ointment containing rosewood is applied often.

The balancing properties of rosewood oil when applied to the face in proper dilution, helps heal boils, pimples, acne and blackheads and reduces future outbreaks with continued use. Its’ anti-infectious property help control infection in these conditions and is used for insect bites, cuts and scrapes also.

It is slightly analgesic, aphrodisiac and a stimulant so it is a good oil to use for depression and winter fatigue.

It has a relaxing, calming effect on the mind and body elevating mood and easing stress. This oil relaxes tired nerves, preventing nervous spasm and so it is strengthening to the nervous system. Because rosewood oil increases tranqillity, benefits the nerves and mind by increasing the production of endorphins, its’ properties are used in treating frigidity and impotence issues, increasing better health in these conditions.

While it is being massaged into the skin or used in a diffuser, the vapors increase the feelings of tranqillity along with the healing process of sinusitis, cold and flu, headaches and nervous tension. Rosewood oil has the ability to control smooth muscle contractions, thus helps in controlling asthma or bronchial disorders.

As the aromatic aroma of rosewood has been mentioned before, it is highly useful as an effective insecticide that repels mosquitoes, bugs, ants, etc. The floral fragrance is used as room freshener and is a popular ingredient for deodorants and perfumes because of its’ woody (musk) scent.

The evergreen Rosewood trees are giant tropical trees harvested now from the rain forests of Brazil. They have yellow flowers and a red bark, but the oil is extracted by steam distillation from wood chips after the tree has been harvested.

Because of the popularity for its’ aromatic and natural anti aging skin properties among the French, rosewood was harvested almost to extinction in the rain forests on the northern coast of South America in the 1900’s. It has and is used in many cosmetics because of the woody, sweet spicy but floral scent that emanates from the tree and the oil, also because of the high quality of products that can be made to benefit in many ways.

It is worth the time to use anti aging skin tips using rosewood oil for natural skin regenerating. The tips for using this oil are quick, easy and add much to the delicate mature appearance and the tranqillity of mind. Mix 20-25 drops of Rosewood essential oil to ten ounces body lotion or a favorite face cream and use daily to promote skin tissue regeneration. It gives a clean, soft, healthy glow, replenishing much needed balancing, elasticity and increasing a healthy appearance.

Calendula has long since been praised because of its’ natural skin comfort for skin rashes, skin yeast infections and to help in the fight against aging skin. Any time there is a condition were the skin is dry, itchy or irritated, Calendula Infused Olive oil can be a blessed relief for these conditions and a variety of other ailments.

The fresh petals can be added to salads or used as a very colorful garnish for any dish. They are a very colorful addition to any flower bed or make an herb garden quite attractive.

Calendula is part of the merigold plant family and is known as “pot merigold” in order to differentiate with the ornamental merigold plant, the petals have a distinctly different look. The ornamental merigold petals have a ruffled look where as the Calendula petal resembles an orange gold daisy. Once you see the petals and compare them, you will not mix them up with each other.

When taken internally, the tea has been used for centuries to heal skin yeast sores with much success. It is also a natural remedy for urinary yeast infections. It helps strengthen the good flora in your digestive system by inhibiting Candida overgrowth.

To make the tea, pour one quart boiling water over three tablespoons petals, let steep for twenty minutes. You can drink this tea warm or cold with a little Stevia for sweetener. It is wise to not use sugar, as yeast thrives on sugar. Sugar also hinders the immune system so it is hard to fight imbalances in your body.

Just a word of caution, because it is part of the marigold family, only drink one to three cups a day to avoid a possible allergy.

If the skin is dry and itchy, you may wish to use Calendula infused Olive oil. It is a wonderful skin relieving oil. Use it as body oil or to heal itchy scalp. If you wish to use it for the face, you may want to use infused Jojoba oil, instead of Olive oil. Jojoba oil is not really oil, but a liquid wax. And, Jojoba oil is a close resemblance to sebum, your own natural skin conditioning lubricant so it does not clog pores.

This oil makes the skin soft, supple and conditioned so wrinkles do not form as readily. You can use it instead of your night cream. To do this, put Calendula oil on freshly cleaned skin about an hour before retiring to bed. This will help the oil to seep slowly into your skin. Then just before lying down, wipe off any excess of oil that was not absorbed.

Calendula oil is very conditioning and healing for fresh scars. To use it for fresh scars, mix 1 part of the thickest liquid Vitamin E oil you can find to 1 part Calendula oil. Then, two to four times a day, press this oil into the scar while rubbing it the length way of the scar, helping it to stretch if it is tight. This can make raised scars flatten. The Scar will be more like skin that has not been damaged and will be less likely to crack or split.

The Calendula plant is a very under praised herb for all that it can do for the skin and the digestive track as well as for the body as a whole. You might find it an interesting study to learn more about this very beneficial medicinal plant.

When it comes to skin care, this article said it just as good as if I wrote it myself!

Of course, the “client” is yourself:

Want Flawless Makeup? Prep Skin First!

The best way to achieve a natural, flawless look with makeup is to start with healthy-looking skin. Properly preparing skin is a sure way to achieve a radiant, even finish so everyone will notice your clients beautiful skin, not your makeup, says BENEV. Follow these simple tips before applying your clients’ makeup to achieve the look she wants.

1. Help your client choose an appropriate, pH-balanced cleanser and be sure she rinses it thoroughly to enhance the longevity of makeup. If the cleanser is not pH-balanced, skin may still be chemically changing to its normal pH level when skin care products or makeup are applied, and this can cause makeup to wear off faster and skin to become irritated or experience a breakout. Make sure your client rinses thoroughly because any slight cleanser residue left behind will emulsify makeup. If makeup either disappears or cakes up on the skin, and she is rinsing thoroughly, then the cleanser is probably not right for your client, and you should consult with your client to choose a different one.

2. Remove dulling dead skin cells with light hydroxy acid exfoliators (salicylic and glycolic acid). This will provide a smoother and softer appearance of foundation. A buildup of dead skin cells will give your makeup a cakey, thick look, lending to a look of thick, textured skin.

3. Masking is beneficial for specific skin conditions to improve the coverage and longevity of makeup. Cover-up is often unnecessary for skin that has been recently masked. Oily skin tends to look shiny about two hours after makeup application, and people will often apply a lot of powder to correct this, which can cause closed comedones (blackheads) and acne breakouts. A better option is to use an absorbent mask with ingredients such as sulfur, tea tree oil and hyaluronic acid to balance surface oils and moisture levels before applying makeup. A nutritious conditioning mask is best for dry/dehydrated and/or sensitive skin to minimize dry fine lines, reduce redness, hydrate for a supple appearance, and even out skin tone.

4. Hydrating the skin can help your client achieve a softer and smoother application of makeup by plumping up the surface of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a good choice for all skin types and conditions, as it is a substance found naturally in skin cells.

5. The ingredient acetyl hexapeptide-8 is a must-have for a smooth makeup application. Used for tightening, it has been shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps prevent new lines from forming by inhibiting muscle contractions.

6. Use one of the best-kept secrets in the professional makeup industry: silicone. Silicone spray or gel, applied before foundation, works for all skin types. Silicone “fills in” creases and crevices so foundation and powder will not seep in and make them more obvious. Silicone also acts like a physical barrier, keeping moisturizer and your skin’s oils from mixing with makeup.

As our skin ages, it can lose elasticity and its’ ability to retain moisture. The signs of age may appear early or, if you are one of the “chosen few,” can come on more gradual. Aging signs may appear including sagging skin, wrinkles, thinning skin, easily bruising and fine lines.

Mature Skin, so delicate, still lovely may happen when emphasis of skin care has been on nourishing and moisturizing the skin throughout the younger years. Early prevention is one key to a healthier skin later on.

But, if you are like I was when I was younger, the love and zest for life was about all that there was on my mind. Old age is what happens to “old people,” not to me. On into my late thirties, I was still having to show ID to verify my age. And so the thought that “my” skin might need more than just a wash cloth now and then was far from my mind.

But, as soon as forty hit, it is a whole different story. I have to pamper my skin a lot in order to not have the “signs of the times” show more than they possibly have to. Folks say thirty is the roughest age to go into. It may be emotionally, but then forty always drowns that emotion out and we get to see how good we really had it.

When I see the pictures of the women in the 1800, I wonder if growing old was as emotional back then as it is now that I am faced with it. That is, until I started researching and learning how I could slow down this process.

Mature Skin, so delicate, still lovely if the proper steps are taken at the first signs of changes in the skin. There are regenerating herbs such as rose, comfrey, marshmellow and calendula along with Essential oils of rose, myrrh, olibanum, lavender, neroli and palmarosa that may be used in a number of combinations.

But, when you really think about aging skin, it is the elasticity that seems to be the thing we miss the most. Decreases in collagen in the skin can do so much damage. The levels of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin may also add to the decrease of skin tone.

Pennsylvania State University showed in one study that topical Hyaluronic Acid stimulated production of collagen-producing cells called fibroblasts. These fibroblasts may further reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Of course, you can get the Hyaluronic Acid injections, but why if the topical HA gives so much relief and benefit to fine lines and wrinkles?

I have bee using a topical HA now for a little over three months and I have noticed a wonderful difference. Of course, the Hyaluronic Acid is not the only relief I have been using, but I know it is making a big difference.

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme in the connective tissues and the skin that lowers the body’s natural HA production. When using topical Hyaluronic Acid, the topical HA inhibits the production of the Hyaluronidase enzyme, so there are two benefits from using the topical HA.

The Hyaluronic Acid I use is called “Skin Eternal Hyaluronic Serum.“ This seems to be the most economical and still have the levels of HA that I want.

Thin, easily bruised skin can also be the result of using oral steroids for any length of time such as when treating Crohn’s disease.

By using an HA oral supplement, there may be some relief from the bruises. Oral HA supplements are made to promote skin health and generally contain Hyaluronic Acid levels the same as the HA supplements marketed for joint health.

Of course, just one supplement is not going to be the only thing that needs to happen to protect and regenerate healthy skin as it matures, but it is a start and a good one at that.

Thank-you for taking the time to visit!

If you know someone with a skin disorder, or have one yourself, you will notice that it tends to be worse at times and calms down at other times. This may be because stress may worsen skin disorders. Psoriasis, acne, eczema, hives (urticaria), excess perspiration and rosacea all may worsen at stressful times.

There are a few things that may help to reduce stress during a stressful time avoiding an outbreak.

Deep Breathing__#1 way to gain control over a sudden stressful time. This not only gives you time to think of a solution, it also helps you to not over react. Through exercise, there is a surge of endorphins and enkephalins, the chemicals in the body that make you feel good. These two chemicals are a major component of health and vitality. This also helps to oxygenate the blood that carries off the toxins from your skin.

Exercise__Go for a walk. Get some fresh air. This supports the Deep Breathing stress relief rule. Sometimes just going into another room and doing some stretches help a lot. Most people associate “exercise” with going to the gym, but just a quick walk around the block will help ease a lot of stress if the gym idea takes too much time. A bit of sunshine, or the Vitamin D that is generated from it, can actually improve some skin conditions according to Dr. Mercola.

Reflexology__Pressure points are a great way to relieve stress. Some pressure points can be done discreatly without anyone knowing. Reflexology is a method aromatherapists and spa technicians use to activate the healing powers of the body through simple massage techniques. This technique is based on the principle that there are energy zones that run through the body with the trigger points. There are a few simple points you may use on the “spir of the moment.” Trigger points are a great way to help relieve tension headaches and depression that may worsen skin conditions.

Get Enough Sleep__It isn’t any new rocket science, everyone knows they just feel better with a good nights rest, or by having a little power nap. It doesn’t take long to have a simple ten minute power nap, but it sure can give you a facelift

Call a Friend__Just putting a stressful situation on hold for a few minutes helps to make it be less when you work with it again. Take a break and talk to someone encouraging for a few moments.

There are other ways besides these to help deal with stress. Sometimes just looking for ways to relieve the stress can help to ease it!

Anytime there is stress it is hard on the different organs of the body and the skin is no exception. Simple sweet thoughts or memories can help relieve stress and go a long way to improving your health and your skin health.

There is a naturally occurring substance found in the body called the “HA molecule.” This molecule is formed by two sugars strung together in a long chain. Hyaluronic Acid is an essential component of skin, eyes, blood vessels and joints. It is also essential to the umbilical cord.

Deficiencies from Hyaluronic Acid contribute to disease in these various areas of the body and may result in premature aging.

Collagen has been well noted for its’ great ability to make the skin more resilient and maintain its’ elasticity. Hyaluronic Acid helps increase collagen production and is vital for maintaining moisture in the skin cells and also between skincells.

You may already know that Hyaluronic Acid is usually used for arthritis and osteoarthritis because it is also a key component and helps make up the fluid that is around, and in the joints.

Aging and/or illness may contribute to a deficiency in HA causing thinning of the skin, wrinkles in the skin and could inhibit the moisturizing hydration of the skin and could do the opposite and promote skin dryness, dry eczema, dandruff and other skin maladies.

Some clinics offer Hyaluronic Acid injections like the collagen injections that are more celebrated. HA injections are used to minimize scars caused by acne, to plump up lips that are thin or to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. HA is also noted for being milder and could be less likely to cause an allergic reaction as the famous collagen injections can.

Although there is a controversy over whether HA is absorbed through oral supplementation, many nature-opath doctors have documented promising results. Also, it may be that HA can benefit by being absorbed through the skin.

Cells producing collagen, also called fibroblasts, may also benefit from topical Hyaluronic Acid and may help to hinder more wrinkles from forming.

Should you try a Hyaluronic Acid topical cream, you may not realize the results for at least three to six months. You should try it for this long before deciding whether it helps or not. One good source is called Skin Eternal Hyaluronic.

Researchers have found that deep breathing is one way to have vibrant skin. The skin is a living organ and has often been referred to as “your third lung” because one of the many functions it performs is the taking in of oxygen.

By deep breathing, the blood that supply the skin cells are more oxygenated, your skin takes in oxygen through the pores also.

Deep breathing, skin brushing and spa techniques help to cleanse your skin of toxins. Your skin becomes firmer and more resilient. Your complexion will be clearer with a radiant glow when your skin is more oxygenated. Oxygen is needed by every living cell and your skin cells are no exception.

Back when it was a punishing practice to “tar and feather,” the recipient found themselves in a more dangerous predicament than just having hot gooey tar on their body. Their skin could not “breath” as it needed to.

Tar posed an added endangerment because it clogged off the pores from getting much needed oxygen. The skin, not being able to slough off toxins, would become toxic and infectious.

If left very long, the person could die from their skin not able to take in oxygen, or breath and function in the way nature intended.

(Prolonged contact with skin, tar may cause dermatitis and hyper-pigmentation of the skin. This substance is also carcinogenic to humans.)

Some of the tar would be absorbed through the skin causing redness and a burning sensation.

It would take much scraping and pulling the tar off the skin, tearing and bruising the skin and causing much pain. Then there was a high incident of infection after the tar was removed because the skin had been damaged or burned by the heat.

Even though the practice of “tar and feathering” has come to an end, there is still high incidents of skin toxicity caused by a lack of oxygen to the skin.

If you allow your skin to come in contact with un-natural substances, it could have the same effect on your skin as the tar, though not as intense at first.

Over an extended time, your skin could start showing the same symptoms as having had tar clogging the pores. If you do not use deep breathing practices, your skin will begin to show the dull toxic look also.

Using lotions and sunblocks with unnatural preservatives and ingredients clog the pores and do not let your skin breath the way it needs to. Your skin absorbs these substances and then has a hard time ridding itself of the toxins.

Where as it is hard to find a good sunblock that does not contain un natural ingredients, you can still help your skin to re-oxygenate itself by using cleansing spa techniques. This will help to rid the skin of any build up of dead skin cells, toxins or residues left from lotions or sunblocks.

Dry brushing or buffing the skin while soaking in a juccuzi, deep breathing exercises and massage with Essential oils that increase oxygen saturation, combined with a healthy diet and liver regenerating will help your skin to keep a healthy glow.

Deep Breathing Exercise:

Stand with your feet slightly apart and without locking the knees. As you begin to fill your lungs with air, raise your hands above your head. Deeper, deeper, let the air fill your lungs clear up!

Then, as you exhale, lower your hands back down to your side and make sure all the air is out of the lungs clear down to the bottom. Keep breathing in and out like this for six to twelve minutes.

Repeat this exercise three to six times everyday and you will begin to feel the benefits in your health within a very short time.

Naturally-Skin Care is a vital part of your overall health!

Since skin health has many avenues, you probably are already aware that poor diet affects your skin. But, did you know that your skin is one of the first organs of the body to be affected by poor diet, mineral and vitamin deficiencies or from improper elimination?

Good health is usually shown by clear, hydrated, radiant skin. If your skin fits in this description, aah, you have been doing your skinwork!

But, for the general population who consist on our “modern day diet,” dry and flaky or oily and pimply skin can be indicative of internal problems including nutritional deficiencies that opens’ the doors to every known illness.

Your skin is the mirror that reflects just how healthy you are or how unhealthy, whichever the case may be. Improving your nutritional health will greatly improve you skin health. But, you probably are not aware of how easy it is to begin to have better nutritional habits.

With all the talk about dieting, proper nutrition, fiber, preservatives and on, and on, you may have a pre- “turn off” in your mind to this subject.

Think how just one change, just one, would make to your health. Take a food that is not healthy and replace it with something more nutritious. What I mean is, say you love Chinese food.

O.K. Change the diet to be Chinese food without Monosodium glutamate, abbreviated as MSG. Decide that you do not eat this preservative, just plain and simple. Then all you have to do is to frequent restaurants that “tote” they are Monosodium glutamate free in their menu of choices.

You will also need to read labels if you buy Chinese food at a grocery store. Just one little change, and see what it will do for your health and the health of your skin! After a week, pick another change you could make into a healthy habit. It is as simple as that.

Maybe for you, it is not Chinese food, maybe you really like the starchy, nutritionally empty pastas, such as macaroni. O.K. You could change to “whole wheat pasta” just have a little more nutrition.

Suppose it is white rice that you eat a lot of. Decide you only eat “brown rice.” Now you have a whole nutritional food, much better for you.

One way to start eating more healthy and avoiding poor diet, is to fill half of your plate with vegetables, then fill one fourth with the meat (about the size of a deck of cards) and then you can have a sweet potato or something like that for the other fourth. This is one way to up your vegetables.

Also, do not include your salad as your vegetable. Let salad be a bonus to your digestive system and your good health! See how easy it will be to make these small changes one at a time?

Of course, refraining from smoking and alcohol makes a vast improvement on skin health, by doing some small changes and standing by them, it will give strength in the future to be able to make the bigger changes and choices. Just start! That’s the part people put off, just starting to make changes. With each change, greater strength is yours to conquer any health issue including Naturally-skincare!

To properly care for your skin, you must have an understanding of its’ purpose and structure. When your body is free of toxins, waste and other harmful substances, beautiful skin for a healthy appearance is the reward.

The word “system” according to the Houghton Miffon College Dictionary defines as, “A group of interrelated, interacting, or interdependent constituents forming a complex whole.”

Again at Dictionary.com, one definition of system is,

“A group of bodily organs that have similar structures or work together to perform some function, such as the digestive system, nervous system, and respiratory system.”

Your skin is a living system within your body. In just one square inch, there consists approximately 19 million cells, 94 sebaceous glands, 625 sweat glands, 60 hairs, 1,250 pain receptors, 160 pressure receptors, 13 cold and 78 heat receptors, 19, 000 sensory nerve cells and 19 yards of blood vessels!

Little do we think of what our skin really does for us on a daily basis. It serves in many capacities, some of which are:

Protects underlying tissues from being bombarded by germs and bacteria.

Protects underlying tissues from injuries and from dehydration.

Helps mantain proper body temperatures.

Aids in the toxic waste elimination processes.

Holds the form or structure of all the organs and systems within the body.

Aids in absorbing the much needed Vitamin D from our life giving sun.

The skin is the integral part of our whole being and is the first thing people see and know about us. It plays a vital part to our functional capacity and without it, we would not be able to maintain life.

Beautiful skin doesn’t necessarily come from the latest, greatest potion (though they do make us feel better just because we tried Truly beautiful skin comes from living better health values, every day. It is vital to learn how to maintain good health in whatever climate you live in or whatever your chronological age is.

Although this Earth on which we live is getting older and has more pollution and much of the soil does not have the nutrients our ancestors enjoyed, does not mean that we have to succumb to ill health.

Through proper eating, supplementing when needed and making sure our elimination systems are functing properly to rid our body of toxins, we can still live as well, if not healthier than our ancestors did and maintain Naturally-Skin Care
